Rachel Corrie : We Will Never Forget!
By Heyden K.
On March, 16th, 2003, the saddest day in American History, one of
America's proudest heroines and freedom fighters, a young beautiful
activist from Olympia, Washington was murdered by the Zionist War
Machine while attempting to block the bulldozing of a Palestinian
doctor's home in the Zionist Occupied territory of Gaza. She had been
actively working for the International Solidarity Movement for seven
weeks prior to her death in Rafah, attempting to prevent the
demolition of Palestinian homes in the Hi Salaam area.
The home to be
demolished was the residence of the sole physician in the region, who
often cared for Palestinian children wounded and maimed with Israeli
bullets for the "crime" of throwing stones at Israeli soldiers.
A
woman with fire and spirit, she dedicated her life to the
cause of
social freedom and justice for all peoples on the globe.
During her
years with the Olympia Movement For Peace and Justice
she received
many death threats from Zionists when she became active
in the
Palestinian Cause. Her mother and father feared
for her life on a
daily basis, but were proud of her determination
to liberate
Palestine from Imperialist hands.
There will never be a spark as
bright, radiant, and inspiring as that of noble Rachel Corrie and
her
sacrifice for political autonomy, unmitigated liberty,
and cultural
relativity for all peoples of the globe will never
be forgotten.
Rachel Corrie was as a paragon of Liberty and her
sacrifice was a
landmark in the global struggle for autonomy and
self-determination.
Rachel Corrie, your spirit will never die,
it lives in the soul of
every man and woman who struggle with the Phi-Corps, and all peoples around the world who fight for a brighter world, free of ignorance, greed, oppression, cold blooded murder, and the rule of Gold.
Your
death on that fateful day of March 16th, 2003, sent a shock wave
around the world that must forever change the way we view the world
and our daily toil to liberate the Earth from economic supremacy and
globalist oppression. Hearken, Israel!!! You will rue the day you
murdered the noblest daughter of America and imagined you could get
away with this barbarous act and that we would forget. WE SHALL NEVER
FORGET. Every move we make, every step we take, will be in honor to
her name and her martyrdom. Israel, your enemies increaseth with
every beating heart of a revolutionary and a freedom fighter. How
long, oh Israel, will you exist, dependent on our charity, dependent
on our tax dollars, dependent on American aid and American weaponry?
The day will come when your land is buried in sand and
a grim legacy
of torture, murder, genocide and deceit is the only memory of your
existence.....We will turn our backs on you as you wither on the
vine like a rotten fruit, just like you turned your back
on your
Palestinian neighbors after driving them out of their
homes, and
pushing them into refugee camps with no running water or electricity,
and adding insult to this despicable injury by bulldozing medical
clinics and murdering Palestinian women, children and infants. Your
genocide of the Palestinian people rivals that of the Turk massacre
of the Armenians and the Holocaust that you love to remind the world
of....Where will you be, oh Israel, when you are forgotten and all
that we recall is a grim memory of lies and genocide? Rachel Corrie,
we love you and you will never be forgotten, so long as one free man
and woman still exist.
"Once you have seen the ocean and lived in a silent place, where
water is taken for granted and not stolen in the night by bulldozers,
and spent an evening when you didn't wonder if the walls of your home
might suddenly fall inward waking you from your sleep, and met people
who have never lost anyone--once you have experienced the reality of
a world that isn't surrounded by murderous towers, tanks,
armed "settlements" and now a giant metal wall,
I wonder if you can
forgive the world for all the years of your childhood spent existing--
just existing--in resistance to the constant stranglehold of the
world's fourth largest military apparatus--backed by the world's only
superpower--in its attempt to erase you from
your home."
