The Band CHANGES and Robert Wulfing sent in this song for the Musical Terorism section. The following is a brief introduction to the song:
Heres one of the songs I hope to use on the defiance compilation. I wrote this one sometime between Waco & Oklahoma City, just to put it into context. I dedicated it to (Shudder!!!) Michael Moynihan because he and I had been
discussing this subject on the phone and afterwards I wrote the lyrics and set it to music: It appears as the first musical track on the CD compilation called 'The
Pact.' There is an intro by Wm. Burroughs speaking that proceeds it. The electric mix is supposed to appear on the Commemorative CD compilation To Emil Cioran to be issued in Roumania sometime in the future.
It is applicable to almost anywhere today. No mention of ideology - no geographical designation. Just a generic revolutionary song. One song fits all predilections and precincts.
- Waiting For The Fall -
There's talk of revolution,
impending Civil war,
The lines are being drawn,
The writings on the wall.
Ancient spirits slumber,
The calm before the storm.
Hero wakes and stretches,
reaches for his sword.
(Chorus )
Waiting for the fall my friend,
Just waiting for the fall,
Waiting for the fall my friend
I am - just waiting for the fall.
The first shots have been fired,
The battle has begun
The blood red tide is rising,
swelling like a flood.
An age of soot and ashes,
Hero takes his stand:
" Lets have this out with fate
My brothers - and liberate our land."
( Chorus )
Waiting for the Fall -
just waiting for the fall.
Waiting for the fall
I am my friend -
just waiting for the fall.
