Rather than tell you about the laws that have been made in the last decade which have openly and honestly been designed for the purpose of gradual disarmament the people, I am going to stress the need to get ready for a serious change. One may not realize the importance of firearms, but when you are disarmed it will then be too late...
You must understand, though it has been said thousands of times, the laws and regulations can effect only the law abiding citizens, it's up to you which side you chose to stand on. And in addition to that, the person that owns hundreds of firearms and no ammunition is no better off and will have no other choice but to give in at that crucial moment when the need has arisen for protection.
You may have started to arm yourself with weapons and ammunition, but all too many have not for whatever the reason may be. All too often that reason is we simply cannot afford several different weapons designed for the different tasks in which we may need them. That is why I am going to evaluate several weapons for the survivalist or revolutionary that are about as close to an all-purpose weapon as they come. This way we can buy one weapon rather than many, spend our extra cash on ammunition and equipment, and finally focus on becoming proficient at that one weapon.
The first weapon I am going to talk about is the G3 style .308. The .308 cartridge is one the most popular of both military and civilian sniper rifles. The reason is the round has incredible accuracy at distances up to and beyond 1000 meters. However, the actual accuracy that it will see will depends mostly on the barrel of that particular firearm, and a number of other variables.
But, at distances of 500 meters or less you will have no problem hitting say a human size target with use of optics and some training. By using the 5 round magazine that comes with the rifle you will still be able to hunt game in most states or by adding a 30 round magazine, which is still quite easy to come by, and noting that it is semi auto, you will be able to make long range single shots, or be able to create a wall of lead by legally emptying a single magazine in only a few seconds. This well built firearm is also short enough to be used for home defense, entering rooms and moving through hallways or when the Alphabet Gangs come pounding through your door.
The next firearm that is at the top of my list the 12 GA assault or riot shotgun with the added features of 'ghost ring sights' or optics and 18-20" barrel. Very rarely are you going to ever be threatened by someone farther than 25 meters, however with the added adjustable sights you can become proficient at making shots as far away as 100 meters (with slugs) and have more than enough power to split open even a large person in one single shot.
With the use of a magazine extension and speed loaders you can easily reload in a matter of a seconds. The number of exotic rounds that can also be purchased such as armor piercing, CS GAS rounds, flechettes, and flame throwing rounds that are capable of producing an enormous 250 foot wall of fire also adds to the effectiveness of this weapon. I advise you to take a hard look at the Remington 870 Defenders or the Winchester 1300s both of which can be had for under $300.00 a piece.
And last but not least the AR15. The AR15 in my mind is one of the best and most cost effective tactical weapons available. The AR15 can be bought in its basic model for about $700.00 or one could build one to his/her own specifications starting at $500.00 up to $800.00. This weapon is easily capable of shooting up to 300 meters accurately and with optics one could make shots as far as 600 meters.
It can be easily converted to different configurations by simply popping two pins and replacing the upper receiver and bolt. This makes it possible for someone to have several different weapons based off the same lower receiver which will save you hundreds of dollars as compared to buying two rifles. Conversion kits are also available to shoot standard .22 rounds which would again save you money by allowing you to shoot much cheaper ammunition.
The effectiveness of the AR15 is so great because of the round. It is designed with just enough power to usually enter the body but not enough to exit. The round runs a higher chance of penetrating the body, hitting a bone or large organ and the bouncing or changing directions within the body. As a result you inflict more damage on that individual and more people are needed to give medical attention to that person, some of which could have been firing at you. Considering all the configurations of this weapon, and its capabilities I would say the AR15 is one the best tactical weapons available for the money.
In the end the person that lives is the one who is most adequately prepared. Stack your ammunition, buy your firearms and become proficient at your weapon of choice.
